William Casey, Jr.

William Casey, Jr. was born January 14, 1932 in Covington, Kentucky and passed away June 19, 2019 in Crittenden, Kentucky at the age of 87.  He was the son of the late William Casey, Sr. and Lillie Mae Cockayne Casey.

He was a veteran of the United States Airforce having served during the Korean Conflict Era.  After serving in the military, William was an installer and repairman for Cincinnati Bell and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.  He was proud to be a lifelong Kentucky resident and was an avid UK Basketball Fan.  He enjoyed working in his yard but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

On March 28, 1953 William was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Lacefield Casey and recently celebrated their 66th anniversary.  In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters: Diana Lynn Casey of Ft. Mitchell and Patty Geers (Don) of Dry Ridge; a brother: Tom Casey of Erlanger; 4 grandchildren: Stephanie King (Jason), Joshua Ives (Kelly), Elizabeth Hamm (Steve) and Jacob Geers (Heather); and 9 great grandchildren: Avery, Amelia, & Elijah King, Aidan, Ethan, &  Owen William Ives, Abbigail Hamm, Elizabeth & Corbin Geers.

William was preceded in death by a brother: John and 3 sisters: Alice, Bettie, and Joan.

A memorial service will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden.  Visitation will be 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North.
