William Robert “Bob” Ewbank , 80, a resident of Warsaw, KY passed away Thursday May 2, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY. Born in Warsaw, KY on January 20, 1939, he was the son of the late William Ryle and Mabel Gaines Ewbank.
On June, 10, 1967, he was united in marriage to the former Elsie Cooper; she survives. Bob graduated from the University of Kentucky -School of Agriculture in 1963. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from the State of Kentucky – Environmental Protection Agency; he previously served as a Sanitation Inspector for the Boone Co. Health Department. He was very active and involved in the community, some of those activities included... many 4-H events, serving on the 4-H Council and Boone Co. Farmer’s Market. He was a member of the South Fork Christian Church in Verona.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Elsie Cooper Ewbank and one daughter Virginia Ewbank of Warsaw, KY. Ten nieces and nephews and many, many great-nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his siblings: James Louis Eubank, Mary Katherine LeGrand, Jean Pryor and Eloise James.
At Bob’s request, there will be no funeral services; a graveside service will be held at Beaverlick Christian Church Cemetery on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Darrell Maines officiating.
