William Harris Kemper

William Harris Kemper was born August 18, 1945 in Covington, Kentucky and passed away October 9, 2024 in Glasgow, Kentucky at the age of 79.  He was the son of the late John Alfred and Nannie Elizabeth Harris Kemper.

Billy, as he was known by his family and friends, worked as a mechanic for Sears and Pepboys in Florence as well as working at other places around Northern Kentucky.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.

Billy was a dedicated member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona.  He was faithful to his Men's Sunday School Class and attended as long as he was able.  He faithfully served as the secretary of his Sunday School class.  In his free time he loved raising a big garden and had so much joy from being able to share vegetables with all his friends.

Billy is survived by his brother, Don (Charolette) Kemper, of Verona, two nephews, John Kemper of Verona and Jerry (Stephanie) Kemper of Matthews, NC, a great nephew, Carter Kemper, and a great niece, Clara Kemper.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona with Rev. Chad Brannan officiating.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the New Bethel Baptist Church, 2022 Verona-Mudlick Rd., Verona, KY  41092.
