William Henson Leach

William “Willie” Henson Leach, a Corinth resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown, KY on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the age of 79. He was the husband of Brenda Jones Leach.

On October 18, 1940, Willie was born at his home in Marcus, KY to the late Stanley and Lucille Harris Leach.  He was united in marriage on April 22, 1988 to his wife Brenda.  Willie retired from the Grant County Oil Company.  He was the former manager of Sunoco Service Stations in Dry Ridge and Corinth, KY.  He was an avid UK Basketball fan and loved to watch television. His passion was raising tobacco and cattle on the Leach Homestead until 2012 when he moved to Corinth.  When William would disappear, his wife would find him leaning against a fencepost watching his beloved cattle.

William was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings, Doris Leach Hardin and Francis Leach Griffin, one stepdaughter, Teri Shelton and one nephew, Steven Hardin.

In addition to his wife Brenda, Willie is survived by one son, William Thomas (Rebecca) Leach of Dry Ridge, KY, two daughters, Terri Leach Rankhorn of Dry Ridge, KY, Brandi Montgomery of Corinth, KY, two stepdaughters, Tammie (Bobby) Wilson of Corinth, KY, Cheryl (Timothy) Pack of Corinth, KY, one son-in-law, Scott Shelton of Corinth, KY, one brother, Melvin (Faye) Leach of Alexandria, KY, one brother-in-law, Clyde Griffin, nine grandchildren, Jacob Kramer, Conner and Claire Kinmon, Hayley and Matthew Leach, Audrey Shelton, Brayden Pack, Ryder Bussell, one great grandchild, Braxton Kramer, two great nephews, David and Randall Hardin of Morgan, KY and one niece, Lori Leach of Alexandria, KY.

Graveside services will be Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11am at the New Columbus Cemetery in Corinth, KY with Pastor Brad Vincent officiating.  Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.  McDaniel Funeral Home of Corinth, KY will be handling arrangements.
