William James Snyder

William James Snyder was born July 11, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio and passed away November 19, 2022 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 76.  He was the son of the late William J. and Kathrine Viola Rench Snyder.

On February 14, 1987 William was united in marriage to Betty Margaret Webster Snyder.  She preceded him in death in May of this year.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Ann Snyder, and by an infant sister, Mary Lou Snyder.

William was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta, OH.  He was also an over-the-road truck driver for Matlack and US Ink for many years.  In his free time he enjoyed going to the casino.  He also enjoyed spending time boating and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was known as “Papa Bear” by his family and those closest to him

William is survived by 2 daughters: Erin Irene Snyder and Patti Arnold; 2 sons: Nicky Huff (Judy) and Richard Huff; a brother: Tim Snyder (Debbie); and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Williamstown Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be 1:30-2:00 pm, Saturday, at the cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Grant County Animal Shelter.
