Wylene "Lenie" Ledbetter Stacey

Wylene “Lenie” Ledbetter Stacey, formerly of Williamstown, KY, passed away peacefully in her room at Arbor Oaks in St. Petersburg, FL on Monday, January 24, 2022 at the age of 95, surrounded by family and her beloved kitty, Betty.

Lenie was born in Marshall Co., TN on January 7, 1927 to the late William and Flora Jones Ledbetter.  She was united in marriage on January 30, 1948 to Reavis “Reb” B. Stacey, with whom she spent the next 66 years of marriage. From this union was born one son, Wm. “Bill” Stacey (Linda) of Fairfield, OH and two daughters, Debi Billington (Art) of Treasure Island, FL and Diane Stacey (Mark Murray) of Madeira Beach, FL.  In addition to her children, Lenie is survived by six grandchildren, Emily (Todd) Pickering, Staci (Joe) Doolin, Joe (Marisa) Stacey, Jason Billington, Brandon (Kelley) Billington, Brent Adam and eight great grandchildren, Kyle Pickering, Connell and Makenna Doolin, Abby, Wyatt, Annabelle and Willow Stacey, and George Billington.

Lenie, along with her husband Reb, was a former owner/operator of more than 30 Cinderella Laundromats, and served as an officer for their Cinderella and Landmasters businesses. She and Reb were well known conservationists and known in the community for their love and passion for animals, tree farming and the outdoors.  She enjoyed dancing, traveling, snow skiing, pulling her kids, grandkids and friends water skiing, and spoiling her pets. She loved hosting gatherings with family and friends and spending time with loved ones.  She was a patient, faithful and young-at-heart woman who never missed an opportunity to dance!  She was always a generous hostess and will forever be remembered for her loving and kind spirit.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place on April 3, 2022 from 1-3pm at the Josephina Event Venue, 100 Hogans Mill, Dry Ridge, KY 41035.
