Brenda Louise Elliott

October 20, 1953 - April 30, 2018

Mrs. Brenda Louise Elliott of the Mt. Zion community passed away Monday, April 30 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood at the age of 64.  Mrs. Elliott was born October 20, 1953 in Covington, KY. to William B. Carnes and the late Ailene Sparks Carnes.  Mrs. Elliott was a former dock worker and truck driver for the Graham Packaging Company in Florence, KY.  She also helped her late husband, Don Elliott, in his lawn care business.  Mrs. Elliott was a longtime faithful member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school.  She loved tending to her flowers, she loved her church but most of all she will be remembered by her family for her love for her grandchildren.

Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her mother: Ailene Sparks Carnes, by a sister: Anita Carnes in 2013 and by her husband of 38 years, Donald R. Elliott on April 15, 2017.

Mrs. Elliott is survived by a daughter: Leslie Rae Elliott of Mt. Zion, a stepson: Donald R. Elliott, Jr. of Springdale, OH., by her father: William B. Carnes of Mt. Zion, brothers: Bruce Carnes and his wife Pam of Mt. Zion, Douglas B. Carnes of Mt. Zion, sisters: Charlotte Henley of Frankfort, KY., Becky Coldiron and her husband Bill of Crittenden, KY.  She has 4 grandchildren: Walker Carnes, Addison Johnson, Seth Owen Johnson and Nicholas Elliott.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Louise Elliott will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, May 4 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Marksberry officiating.  Visitation will at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Friday, May 4 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Memorial contributions if desired may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
