Mose R Herald

April 24, 1931 - June 10, 2016

Mose R Herald was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on April 24, 1931 and passed away at his home in Verona, Kentucky on June 10, 2016 at the age of 85. He was the son of the late Allen and Gracie Turner Herald.

On May 15, 1959, Mose was united in marriage with Clara Strong who preceded him in death February 16, 2016. From this union Mr. Herald is survived by his daughter: Grace Margaret Raleigh and her husband, Caleof Verona and his sons: Glen Marlin Herald of Verona, and Kenneth Marvin Herald of Verona; his grandchildren: Christopher Mose Raleigh and Cayla Lynn Raleigh; his sisters: Gladys Turner of Breathitt County and Charles Deaton.

Mose was a former member of the Turner's Creek Church of Christ in Breathitt County and served as a Deacon with the Newport Church of Christ. He enjoyed many activities including fishing, hiking, traveling, horseback riding and collecting antiques. He worked many years at Reliable Casting in Cincinnati.

Visiting hours for Mr. Herald will be Monday evening from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton - Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. the funeral will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY.
