Elsie Dewey

Elsie L. Dewey, of Owen County, KY. and formerly of Florida, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 92. Mrs. Dewey was born December 12, 1919 in Lewes, Delaware to the late Enoch L. Mitchell and Georgianne Shockley Mitchell. Mrs. Dewey was a retired watchmaker and a member of the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dewey leaves to mourn her passing 2 daughters: Jennieanne Greene of Owen County, KY. and Annette Hartman of Georgia. She has 2 sons: Fred Dewey of Owen County, KY. and Bert Dewey of California. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. There will be no visitation for Mrs. Dewey and services will be at the convenience of the family. The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Dewey have been entrusted to the McDaniel Funeral Home of Corinth, KY.
