Crystal Gail Sharp

Crystal Gail Oakley Sharp was born April 13, 1978 in Georgetown, Kentucky and passed away April 12, 2022 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 43.  She was the daughter of Daniel and Patricia Wagers Oakley of Owenton.

In addition to her parents, Crystal is survived by 2 daughters: Kirsten and Amy Sharp of Owenton; 2 sons: Justin and David Bell Sharp of Owenton; and 2 sisters: Barbara Young of Owenton and Ivina Brewer of Georgetown. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Crystal was a former Nurse's Aid and Office Receptionist at the Owen Co. Memorial Hospital, which later became New Horizon's Medical Center for a total of 15 years. She will long be remembered for having a warm personality with a sweet and charming disposition. She loved 4-wheeling, fishing and going to yard sales; especially, "The World's Longest Yard Sale" the famous 127 yard sale.  She attended Hesler Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday April 22, 2022 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth with Rev. Greg Nimmo officiating.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery (off Fortner Ridge Road) in Owenton.
