Dale R. Hanson

Dale R. Hanson of Verona, KY was born July 7, 1946 in Radford, VA and died Monday, April 11, 2022 at his residence at the age of 75.

He was the son of the late John H. and Hazel Mae Duncan Hanson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired machinist and painter for Esco Corp. in Covington, KY and a member of the Methodist faith. On November 16, 1968 he was united in marriage to his wife, Carol Lykins Hanson. In addition to his parents, Dale was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Karl C. Hanson and 1 sister, Shirley Bobbitt.

Surviving is his wife Carol Hanson of Verona; 1 son, Eric (Misty) Hanson of Glencoe; 1 daughter, Tonya (Justin) Arrasmith of Walton; 5 grandchildren, Alex (Brittany) Hanson, Ryan (Courtney) Hanson, Noah (Kodi) Hanson, Logan Arrasmith and Austin Arrasmith; 3 great-grandchildren, Riley, Jarrison, and Hunter Hanson; and 4 brothers, Jerry Hanson of Waynesville, NC, Mike (Sharon) Hanson of Richmond, VA, Casey Hanson of Bulls Gap, TN, and Eric “Rick” Hanson of Lewisburg, WV.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona followed by burial in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will also be Thursday 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home.
