Edith Taylor of Williamstown, KY was born Jan. 25, 1945 in Hazard, KY and died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020 at her residence at the age of 75.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Pearl McQueen Murphy, a former furniture maker for Same Furniture in Cincinnati, OH, and a member of the Williamstown Holiness Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Philip D. Suttles, a son she raised, Isaac Howard, and 5 sisters. A brother Robert Murphy died the same morning as Edith on Dec. 24. On Aug. 7 1981 Edith was united in marriage to her husband Bobby L. Taylor.
Surviving are her husband, Bobby Taylor of Williamstown, daughter, Beverly Pennington of Lake Whales, Fl, step-son, Buck Taylor, 2 sisters Ora and Barb, brother, Ray, grandsons, Andrew Suttles, Cameron Riesenbeck, Caleb, Caiden, and Mason Howard, granddaughters, Chasity Suttles, Mariah and Jaclynn Howard, great-granddaughter, Derrika Suttles, and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is special friends John Burford, Tim Coyle, and Doug Riesenbech.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Sat. Jan. 2, 2021 at the Williamstown Holiness Pentecostal Church followed by burial at Mt. Hebron Church Cemetery. Visitation will also be Sat. 11:00am-1:00pm at the church.
