Gladys Rosalie Fisk

Gladys Rosalie Simpson Fisk was born March 22, 1927 in Crossroads, Kentucky and passed away March 16, 2024 in Erlanger, Kentucky at the age of 96.  She was the daughter of the late Webb Anderson and Bertha Lucille Reynolds Simpson.

Gladys was a co-owner of several gas stations throughout Northern Kentucky and operated them alongside her husband Eldred. She later worked and retired from Wal-mart. She was a member of the Wilmington Baptist Church in Fiskburg.  She had a passion for gardening and cooking and always loved spending time sewing as well. She was a very hard worker from early in life until she was unable to work at the age of 89 due to illness. She was always told by her dad that she should accomplish something every day and she never forgot him saying “Never let a day go undone.”

On November 1, 1947 Gladys was united in marriage to the love of her life, Eldred Malcolm Fisk, who preceded her in death in July 1993.  She is survived by two sons: Eldred Allen Fisk of Erlanger and Ricky Fisk of Alaska; three daughters: Janet Cox (Leslie) of Florence, Rita Gibbs (Ralph) of Crittenden, and Clara Root of Alexandria; four brothers: Allen Simpson of Ohio, Merle Simpson of Indiana, Ronnie Simpson of Florence and Frankie Simpson of Independence; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Gladys was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be 10 AM-12 PM Friday, March 22, 2024 at Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden. Funeral services will also be Friday at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Wilmington Baptist Church Cemetery in Fiskburg.
