Hope was born at home in Williamstown, Kentucky on Saturday, February 2nd, 1929 to the late August Edward Chipman and Helen Spillman Chipman. In addition to her parents, Hope is preceded in death by her husband of over 53 years, Louis Rich “Joe” Elliott; as well as four of her siblings: Sarah (Landon) Perry, Russell (Wanda) Chipman, Stella (Clyde) Howell, and Charlie (Jan) Chipman. She is survived by her two adoring siblings, Laura (Billy) Hopper of Verona, Kentucky, and Dennis (Barbara) Chipman of Florence, Kentucky; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Hope, the oldest of seven children, graduated with the class of 1946 from Simon Kenton High School and was a long time member at the Goshen Christian Church in Piner, Kentucky.
