Janice M. Caldwell

Janice M. Caldwell , 84, of Corinth, KY, died on Tuesday May 23, 2023 at her residence.  Born on Friday March 31, 1939 in Dry Ridge, KY, she was the daughter of the late Eric Dean and Doris Neal McBee.

On March 1, 1958 Janice was united in marriage to Lester Caldwell; he survives. After graduation from high school, she received a business degree from Draughn’s Business College in Cincinnati. She was a receptionist for Caldwell Electric in Williamstown and later served in that same capacity with Comp Care. She was an avid supporter of U.K. Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.  She was a committed housewife and homemaker but her greatest legacy is being a devoted helpmate in ministry to her husband/minister, Rev.  Lester Caldwell, for over 60 years. Being a gifted musician, she used her musical gifts of playing the organ, piano, banjo, mandolin and saxophone to advance the cause of the Kingdom.  Her current church membership was at Gumlick Baptist in Pendleton County.

She leaves to carry on her legacy of being a true servant of the Lord, her husband of 65 years, Lester; three daughters: Darlene Shelton Caldwell of Perkins, OK, Debbie (Rusty) Lykes of Florence, KY, Dianna (Chris) Thompson of Frankfort, KY; three sisters: Carolyn Hale of Jamestown, KY, Melva Rae (Noah) Brewer of Williamstown, KY and Margie (Marty) Carrillo of Chattanooga, TN . Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom lovingly called her “Mamaw”.

Visitation will be Tuesday May 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Home – Williamstown.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Jimmy Whitaker officiating.  Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
