John Laurel Burford of Lake Wales, Florida

May 9, 1947 - March 19, 2024

John Laurel Burford of Lake Wales, FL, formerly of Williamstown, KY, passed away March, 19, 2024 at the age of 76.  He was born on May 9, 1947 in Owenton, KY to the late Laurel Demaree and Mary Luella Shields Burford.

John worked in construction for most of his life and was a regular "handy-man" as he could fix or make almost anything.  He enjoyed taking care of animals, piddling around outside in the yard, word find puzzles, and reading his Bible.  He was always helping others.

He is survived by two sisters; Teresa (Fredrick) Kinman of Hopkinsville, KY, Alice Wagers of Worthville, KY along with numerous nieces and nephews, special friends; Bobby Taylor, Lake Wales, FL, Beverly Pennington of Lake Wales, FL, Caiden Howard of Williamstown, KY, Tim Coyle of Williamstown, KY.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Elliston Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY.   Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM, Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at the Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Owenton, KY.
