Joyce Alexander York

On February 14, 2025, our beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Nana and Grana was called home. She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey McCabe Alexander and father, Carl Lester Alexander. She leaves to mourn, her loving husband and best buddy Mark York. They were united in marriage on May 8, 1976. Also left behind are their two daughters Jessica (Chris) Robinson and Jaime (David) Wright. Joyce cherished her grandchildren; Lexie (Cameron) Perkins, Emma Robinson, Ryn Robinson and Crockett Robinson; as well as her two great grandsons, Brantley and Branson Perkins.

Joyce was a woman of many talents and spent many years devoted to piecing together a plethora of intricate quilts and spent time crafting as well. In her final years Joyce embraced her love for antiques by growing her large collection of miniature sewing machines. During her younger years, Joyce showcased her talents at crafts fairs with her daughters and continued to spend weekend outings attending craft shows and antique flea markets with her family as well as Pigeon Forge rod runs with her husband.

Joyce was a woman that was loved by many, but leaves us behind her quilts she made to keep us wrapped in her love for years to come. The family finds comfort in knowing Joyce is reunited with her parents, pain free and breathing effortlessly and abundantly.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 11am-1pm at the New Columbus Baptist Church in Corinth, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 1pm.  Rev. Brad Vincent and Rev. Devin Hurley will be officiating services.  Committal service will take place immediately after at the York Family Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to The Cotton Club c/o Owen County Extension Office, 265 Ellis Rd Owenton, KY 40359.
