Mavis Eudell Linderman Vanover was born January 4, 1937 in Morgan Co., Alabama and passed away March 12, 2019 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 82. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Lanier and Katy Jewell Lowery Linderman.
On Oct. 20, 1953 Mavis was united in marriage to James Isaac Vanover who preceded her in death on October 5, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a son James F. Vanover.
Mavis is survived by a son: Jerry (Storme) Vanover of Williamstown; 4 daughters: Susan Caldwell of Dry Ridge, Sandra Beach of Dry Ridge, Connie Williams (Johnny Arnett) of Dry Ridge and Trina (Thomas) Varnado of Williamstown; 2 sisters: Dena (Lee) Rhehan of Westland, MI and Lilamay Cope of West Plain, MO; 3 sisters-in-law: Linda Lawson of Burlington, Margaret McKiddy of Florence and Cathy Smith of Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
Mavis was a retired practical nurse and caregiver and she was a member of the Mason Baptist Church. Her passion was reading.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 15, 2019 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Visitation will be 11 AM - 2 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
