Philip Arnold Delk

November 25, 1926 — December 23, 2022

Arnold Delk was born November 25, 1926 and passed away December 23, 2022 at the Sam Swope Masonic Home in Louisville, Kentucky at the age of 96.

Arnold was a retired Furniture Salesman and also worked as a camera man at River Downs.  After graduating high school he entered the Merchant Marines where he proudly served our country.

At the time of his passing he was the oldest living member of the Covington Masonic Lodge F&AM as well as the West Covington Booster Club.  After his daughters graduated and moved out of the house, Arnold and Julia, sold there home and embarked on an adventure of a lifetime traveling the country in their travel trailer.  They made so many memories together and even spent time with their daughters and grandchildren when they would visit them at their many destinations.

In addition to his love of traveling, Arnold enjoyed fishing and always loved spending time with family.  He never thought he was too old to learn new things and was always willing to tackle the newest technology.  He will always be remembered by his family for all the stories he loved to tell.  Most of all, Arnold just loved living life to its fullest and always wanted to be productive and useful.

On March 6, 1948, Arnold was united in marriage to the love of his life, Julia Geraldine Sheffel Delk.  In addition his wife of almost 75 years he is survived by a daughter: Patricia Ann Jones of Florida; a son-in-law: Bill Schwartz of Dry Ridge; a sister: Shirley Clayton of Hebron; 6 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Marie Schwartz, in 2019, and by 2 brothers, William Lewis Delk and Charles Delk.

Memorial services will be 4:00 PM, Friday, December 30, 2022 at Dry Ridge Baptist Church in Dry Ridge.  A memorial visitation will be 2:00 - 4:00 PM, Friday, at the church.
