Reva Mi Jean Hendrix

Reva Mi Jean West Hendrix was born June 7, 1937 in Williamstown, Kentucky and passed away October 13, 2023 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 86.  She was the daughter of the late Floyd Blaine and Eva Belle Wallace West.

Mi Jean was a retired clerk for Skinner Furniture in Williamstown.  She was a long time member of Williamstown Baptist Church where she served in many roles including youth ministry leader, member of the Cheerful Chimers Handbell Choir, and serving on the bereavement and Wednesday night meal committee.  One of Mi Jean's greatest gifts was as an encourager.  She would often send cards, deliver food and care for elderly women and widows in the church.  She also enjoyed playing the piano and sewing.

On Oct. 16, 1954 Mi Jean was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Hendrix.  In addition to her husband of almost 69 years she is survived by two daughters: Sherry Kaye Hendrix Simpson of Williamstown and Bobbi Jayne Hendrix Hammons (Mark) of Williamstown; six grandchildren: Bobby (Melissa) Simpson, Brian (Kim) Simpson,  Julie (Doug) Stanley, Hollie (Chad) Breeden, Dustin (Beth) Hammons, Jason (Natalie) Dunaway; 14 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Mi Jean was preceded in death by her 3 brothers: Marion West, Marvin West and Richard West.

Visitation will be 12:00 - 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.  Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
