Tony Dwayne Scudder

Tony Dwayne Scudder, 62, of Warsaw, KY, passed away Thursday April 7, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence.  Born Monday June 1, 1959 in Covington, KY, he was the son of Lorene Joyce Scudder and the late Joe Shupert Scudder.

In October of 1986, Tony was united in marriage to the love of his life, Helena Bayer Scudder; she preceded him in death just 3 weeks ago, on March 19 ^th . He spent much of his life working as a maintenance supervisor in Columbia, TN; he was mechanically inclined, having much knowledge in a wide variety of areas. He will long be remembered as being a very intellectually gifted individual and someone who, if he didn’t know the answer to something or how to fix it… he pursued the answer. He was a graduate of Gallatin Co. High School and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Columbia, TN.

Those carrying on his legacy include his mother, Lorene Joyce Miles Scudder of Warsaw, KY; three nephews: Rodney Scudder, Nathan Scudder, Dustin Giles and one niece: Elizabeth Scudder.  He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Scudder; his wife, Helena Scudder; two brothers: Gary Wade Scudder, Jeffrey Allen Scudder and a sister: Kimberly Sue Scudder.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 12, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Homes – Verona. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at New Bethel Cemetery beside his wife of 36 years.
