Wanda Lou Dunn

Wanda Lou Dunn , 90, of Walton, KY, passed away Thursday July 27, 2023 at her residence after a lengthy illness.  Born on October 28, 1932 in Dry Ridge, KY, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Dealtha Gordon White.

She was married to Overton Dunn; he preceded her in death on August 19, 2017. She worked for Levi Strauss for over 17 years where she also served as President of the Union. While she was in high school at Dry Ridge she was a cheerleader for the basketball and football teams. Family was very important to Wanda; she loved being “Granny” to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter Paula (David) Carnes of Morningview; one son: Gordon (late Carole) Dunn of Walton; one sister: Joann (John) Smith of Independence, along with four grandchildren: Chris Dunn, Brad Dunn, Keesha Carnes and James Carnes and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Overton, she was preceded in death by a brother: William White and two sisters: Sue Spillman and Jane Rose Beach.

Services celebrating her life will be held at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery – North in Williamstown at the convenience of the family.
