William "Bill" Thomas Holder

William “Bill” Thomas Holder , 69, of Clay City, KY, formerly of Grant County, died Sunday November 26, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood.  Born on July 28, 1954 in Williamstown, KY, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Bonnie Marie (Hurt) Holder, Sr.

On August 16, 1975, Bill was united in marriage to the former Teena Kay Perry; she preceded him in death on August 24, 1990. For many years he worked as a welder/mechanic in Northern Kentucky for the railroad.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman; he loved old cars and demolition derby.

Survivors include one daughter: Becky Jo Holder of Dry Ridge; two sons: Bobby (Jennifer) Holder of Germantown, OH, Alvin (Heather) Holder of Owenton; four brothers: Donald Holder of Winchester, Harry (Connie) Holder of Williamstown, George (Virgie) Holder of Georgetown, James Holder of Brooksville and one sister: Edna Harrison of Walton.  Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth Holder.

Visitation will be Friday December 1, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating.  He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Hillcrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stanley Funeral Homes to be applied toward the funeral expenses.
