William Reid Catlett

William R. Catlett was born January 16, 1938 in Loveland, Ohio and passed away May 23, 2023 in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 85.  He was the son of the late Henry Reid and Eloise Calvert Catlett.

Bill retired as Superintendent of the Bullock Pen Water District and was a lifelong farmer.  He loved farming and always enjoyed fishing.  He was a die hard UK Basketball fan.  But his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his children and grandchildren.

On February 18, 1966 he was united in marriage to Lana Jo Caldwell Catlett.  In addition to his wife of 57 years he is survived by his daughter: Jackie Crupper (Calvin) of Crittenden; his son: Billy Catlett (Lori) of Crittenden; a brother: James Catlett of Starke, Florida; two sisters: Helen Hudson of Williamstown and Ann Unkraut of Burlington; five grandchildren: Boston Crupper (Ashely), Morgan Spillman (Samuel), Cody Catlett, Colton Catlett and Dawson Catlett; and three great grandchildren: Christophor York, Dean Spillman and Dakota Crupper.

Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Catlett.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Friday, May 26, 2023 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 26, 2023 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Catlett Family Cemetery, Crittenden.
