William Floyd Hensley

Mr. William Floyd Hensley of Williamstown, KY. passed away Friday, October 30 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown at the age of 77.  Mr. Hensley was born September 14, 1943 in Georgetown, KY. to the late Willie Floyd Hensley and Myrtle Margaret Jacobs Hensley.  Mr. Hensley was a retired printer for Equitable Bag Company and had proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Hensley was of the Baptist faith and a member of the American Legion Post 137 in Williamstown, KY. and a member of the National Rifle Association.  Mr. Hensley loved to fish, play pool and tinker on anything mechanical.  He is most fondly remembered by his family for his love and devotion to them.

Mr. Hensley is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Faye Claypool Hensley, 1 son: William Steve Hensley of Williamstown, KY., 1 daughter: Teresa Thornberry and her husband Marty of Williamstown, KY., 4 sisters: Ilene Janos of Independence, KY., Claudia Dawalt of Williamstown, KY., Vera Blevins of London, KY., Gladys Faul of Georgetown, KY., 1 brother: Henry Hensley of Covington, KY., 6 grandchildren: Chris Hurston, Leslie Gullion, Abi Hensley, Breanna Hensley, Brooklyn Hensley, Jacob Hensley, 5 great grandchildren: Patrick, Cody, Hannah, Clinton, and April and he is survived by a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. William Floyd Hensley will be conducted 12:30 pm Friday, November 6  in the chapel of the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main Street, Williamstown, KY. 41097 with Bro. Nate Perkins officiating.  Visitation will be there on Thursday, November 5 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm.  Burial with military honors will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown.  Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Hensley Family, in care of the funeral home.
